The vertical farm produces high quality conifer seedlings several times faster than traditional nurseries - taking just 3-6 months compared to 1.2-1.8 years in nurseries.
The advanced technology of automated irrigation, nutrient delivery and climate control not only reduced labor but also improved the efficiency of resource use, maximising output. The facility now produces 2 million healthy seedlings a year, which are planted outdoors and then moved to the site of the future forest. The seedlings have a high survival rate and minimal waste.
