In Saudi Arabia is almost ready to launch an automated vertical farm with iFarm Leafy Greens technology. The farm with a total cultivation area of over 2000 m² is located in the city of Riyadh, the capital of the Kingdom with a population of over 8 million people.
The client company Green Basket has rented a farm space (~900 m² by floor), finished construction work, and the installation of vertical farm equipment is in progress. At the first stage, the customer starts operating leafy lettuces area (1360 m², 4 300 kg/month), and microgreens (growing area 1196 m², 11 960 kg/month) will be launched later.
The total production capacity of the farm is estimated at 16 tons per month. The salads and microgreens produced here will be sold on the domestic market, where the demand for fresh herbs, leafy salads and vegetables is very high.
