VERTICAL SALAD FARM

The "Zelen" company is one of the leading companies specialising in the supply of fresh herbs, berries and other products of the Ultrafresh category for the HoReCa segment in the Krasnoyarsk region. The company’s products are used daily by approximately one hundred public catering companies, including the largest restaurant chains: Bellini Group, 0.75 group, Silver-spoon.

"Zelen" has always focused on the freshness and quality of products, which is its main unique selling proposition. This approach marked the beginning of a cooperation with iFarm in 2019. Initially, the company acted as a regional partner, providing customers from Krasnoyarsk with fresh salads and herbs grown on vertical farms iFarm in Novosibirsk.

The high demand for eco-friendly, fresh, healthy products, which the Siberian region experiences all year round, prompted the owners to launch their own vertical city farm in Krasnoyarsk, fully based on iFarm technology.

Production in Krasnoyarsk commenced in two stages. The first stage of the farm, with a growing area of 228 m2, was put into operation in May 2021. The second stage (383 m2) started working in autumn 2021. After the launch of the farm, from 2 tonnes of delicious fresh herbs harvested here every month. The iFarm Growtune IT platform governs the farm management. The system monitors the status of plantings, the microclimate parameters and helps plant growers to cultivate a high-quality yield in the required volume.

The company has subscribed to iFarm Growtune at the SMART tariff. This gives you access to a library of ready-made plant "recipes" for growing, the ability to place orders, plan planting and farm loading. Plant growers may use the checklist function and monitor production, while accessing all the farm analytics.
